This is it, folks.

On November 21, 1978 at 11:39 a.m., the first born of three boys, I was established at Crawford Long Hospital in downtown Atlanta, Georgia.

My Mama always thought I was funny. My Pops has always told me that I have a talent for writing. Both are debatable. When blogging became a fad about 10 years ago, I decided to combine the two. I chose this domain name because I noticed how some fashion companies incorporated their founding date into their brand. And what better way to lay claim to the entire year of 1978 as mine than a blog that nobody reads!

I eventually let the blog fall by the wayside. But for years, as it sat dormant, I continually paid to renew the domain – even without any intention of using it again.

Last year, I received two separate offers to purchase it. Initially, I was eager to sell it and pocket the thousands being offered. However, there was a quiet, growing reluctance in my heart – and I never completed either sale.

Maybe it was too sentimental to let it go, or maybe it was the outside interest to acquire it that reignited my prior indifference. Or, maybe I was foolish – and should have taken the money and run! But I don’t have any regrets, and here’s why…

I believe you, yes, you, were meant to read this. God is already moving in your life, whether you’re aware of it or not.

A significant majority of my 41 years have not been lived in alignment with God. Though I’ve always believed in Jesus, I held many hindering misconceptions about faith. When I finally began to pursue an intimate, personal relationship with Him, my heart was transformed. I was given peace that I never knew was possible. I want that for you, too.

If I can use this site to add a little bit of laughter to your day, and at the same time reveal the truth about who Jesus Christ is, then to me, this domain name is priceless.

For my birthday, I want something for you, not from you.

Today’s the day.
